Run and operated by Metro Parks Tacoma, the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is located in Tacoma, Washington, and is a state registered 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. The park is located on 725 acres, and is home to over 200 animals and 43 species. The park, which first opened to the public on July 17, 1975, focuses on education, recreation, and conservation.[1]

About the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park

The Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is open year round, with operating hours determined by the season. For example, the park is open daily from 9:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. July 1 through September 5, and Friday through Sunday only, 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., October 3 through December 25. Admission prices are $21.95 for adults, $13.95 for children ages 5-12, and $10.95 for children ages 3 and 4.. Admission includes a tram tour and parking.[2] The Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is home to different types of animals such as moose, grizzly bears, elk, bison, Bighorn sheep, and lambs.

The Northwest Trek Wildlife Park sells annual memberships for those who plan on visiting three or more times throughout the year. Memberships include unlimited access to the park, as well as such perks as 10 percent off purchases made at the park's gift shop, and 20 percent off admission at Point Defiance Zoo. Additional benefits include discounts for friends and a free newsletter. Guests also have the option to purchase combo passes for multiple people. This includes the individual membership plus one. All combo passes include several additional benefits such as 50 percent off admission to Zoolights and free admission to the Point Defiance Zoo.[6]
